The most significant change in the organization's activities and value chain compared to the 2021 non-financial report is the return to normality after the Covid-19 health crisis. 2022 was the first year after the pandemic in which full normality was restored in all Alestis work centers. A year of evolution in which the major operational measures implemented in 2020 and 2021 to balance the income statement clearly bear fruit, with visible operational improvements, which can be seen in the evolution of the resources generated by operations or EBITDA (which almost doubled between 2021 and 2022, whereas it was negative in 2020) and in the operating profits achieved for the first time since the start of the pandemic in 2020. This progress is also evident in the significant investments made in R&D&I during the year, aimed at ensuring Alestis' presence in new markets and its involvement in the development of new, more sustainable technologies, in order to be at the forefront of technology and to be in a competitive position when the market begins the long-awaited growth expected in 2024-2025.

The contents of this Non-Financial Statements Report are identified through the corresponding materiality analysis, conducted in 2021, which follows the principles of stakeholder inclusiveness, sustainability context, materiality and completeness.

The content of this Non-Financial Report is determined by the corresponding materiality analysis, which was carried out in 2021 and follows the principles of stakeholder involvement, sustainability context, materiality and completeness. The starting point is the company's previous analysis of its stakeholders and their needs and expectations.

A group of people is selected who, as part of the organization, can act on behalf of these stakeholders through their ongoing dialogue with them. These people individually assess the importance of the economic, environmental and social impacts of each of the proposed issues (identified according to an ad hoc context analysis), as well as their influence on stakeholders' evaluations and decisions. The result of this analysis is the Alestis Materiality Matrix.
