During 2022, 22,925 cubic meters of water were consumed at Alestis' facilities in Spain (6,657 cubic meters less than in 2021) and 4,152 cubic meters at Alestis do Brasil (872 cubic meters more than in 2021). All water consumed is obtained from the public water network (none of the work centers has a well).

Water consumption is limited to sanitary use, except in the Vitoria-Gasteiz plant, which has an anodizing bath line. In the case of waste water, it is discharged directly into the sewerage system and from there to the appropriate municipal collector.

In the case of Vitoria-Gasteiz, when anodizing bath liquid concentrate is produced for disposal, the authorized waste manager is responsible for its removal, which is never disposed of as waste. The rest of the water, after an internal purification process, is discharged into the public water system, under the supervision of the competent administration, with periodic discharge controls, as established in the Integrated Environmental Authorization.

Alestis do Brasil continues its initiatives to reduce water consumption by improving filtration at Tecnatom. However, the reactivation of the activity after the health crisis has led to an increase in consumption.
