The environmental management system has been designed and implemented in accordance with the UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2015 standard. The certificate covers all Aciturri Aeronáutica, S.L.U., Aciturri Engineering, S.L.U., Aciturri Aeroengines, S.L.U., Aciturri Aerostructures, S.L.U., and Alestis Aerospace, S.L.U. sites (excluding the Brazil location). The Rochefort work center operates with a management system based on ISO 14001, though it is not certified.
Additionally, the company extends the principles of its environmental policy to subcontractors and the supply chain. As stated in the text, the company provides support and knowledge in preventive and environmental management for operations derived from their relationship with the company.
Aciturri conducts an environmental impact and risk assessment every year. In 2024, we reviewed the work processes for this analysis with the intention of incorporating them into the company's global risk management process, PSC-61.
Mitigation plans are designed and implemented for significant or unacceptable aspects and impacts.
According to the results of this analysis, there are no impacts on biodiversity or protected areas; therefore, no specific measures have been implemented.
Regarding environmental risk management, all plants have designated resources for responding to and containing spills and environmental accidents.
Specifically, the Ayuelas and Vitoria facilities are included within the scope of Law 26/2007 on Environmental Responsibility, as defined in Priority Group III in accordance with Order TEC/1023/2019 of October 10. A specific risk assessment has therefore been carried out in accordance with the reference regulations' methodology and using the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge's implemented tools. The IDM (Environmental Damage Index) has also been calculated.
For the reference scenario, an accident in APQ (Chemical Product Storage), the result of this calculation was €646,122 for Ayuelas. For the Vitoria facility, the reference accident scenario involving a potential chromium (Cr-VI) spill into a public waterway was determined, with an estimated damage value of €1,688,949.40. However, financial guarantees are not necessary in either case, as an Environmental Management System certified according to ISO 14001 is in place, as defined by the exclusions of the Environmental Liability Law.
