ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
Waste

In 2024, several improvements were made at the Seville Airport plant in Spain to reduce dangerous and non- dangerous waste. These improvements included better segregation of tool containers in the workshop and the purchase of smaller rags for cleaning activities, which generate a significant amount of contaminated absorbents.

Aciturri sorts the waste generated at its facilities at the source and delivers it to authorized waste management companies. These companies ensure that the waste is treated in the most appropriate manner according to its nature. They prioritize reuse, recycling, or recovery over other operations, such as landfill disposal.

Reusing corner and part protectors at the Seville Airport plant also reduced the generation of non- dangerous waste.

At the Brazil plant, staff received awareness-raising and training activities on waste management.

Since no food waste is generated, there are no initiatives for its prevention and minimization.
