Health & Safety

Aciturri has an occupational risk prevention management system, designed and certified under the ISO 45001 standard.

The company's Occupational Health and Safety Policy aims to tackle any risk relating to the health and safety of the workforce and all persons related to its activity or products, with a focus on continuous improvement. This document, which also integrates the environmental policy, establishes the life and health of people and the quality of the environment as one of the fundamental pillars of the organization's operations and supports compliance with Human Rights, especially about Article 3 (‘Everyone has the right to life, liberty and the security of person’). It has been revised as of 1st September 2023 and approved by the General Management. This revision has been carried out to align Aciturri's and Alestis' occupational risk prevention policies. The Health and Safety Management Manual has also been unified.

The policy is publicly available. Internally, it is disseminated through Nexus and introduced during the welcome processes. Furthermore, contractors accessing the facilities receive it through the access management application.

To ensure this policy's implementation in all the organization's activities and all levels of the organization chart and its commercial relations, Aciturri counts with an occupational risk prevention management system designed and certified under the ISO 45001 standard. It covers all the work centres linked to Aciturri Aeronáutica S.L.U. companies, Aciturri Engineering S.L.U., Aciturri Aeroengines S.L.U. and Aciturri Aeroestructures S.L.U., except for the Getafe work centre. This management system assigns responsibility at different levels of the organization, aiming to reduce the accident rate by spreading a preventive culture. It is developed through a set of operational procedures, allowing the commitments of the Health and Safety Policy to be integrated into the day-to-day running of the organization.

Aciturri provides the staff with the necessary information and training to ensure they know each other and carry out safe and responsible practices. This promotes a genuine preventive and environmental culture focused on continuously improving working and environmental conditions.

The Joint Prevention Service is standard for all work centers in Spain. As part of the preventive activity, risk assessments are carried out on an ongoing basis, using specific computer software, considering change management.

All employees are trained in occupational risk prevention according to their occupation.

Aciturri considers the participation of the workforce, through their legal representatives, essential to adequately managing this variable. Thus, Health and Safety Committees have been set up, representing 97% of the workforce in Spain, 100% in Brazil and 100% in France.

In Spain, these Health and Safety Committees have been constituted as Health, Safety and Environment Committees, allowing the legal representatives of the workforce to participate in environmental policy objectives and actions and strictly preventive ones.

Aciturri also promotes the extension of the principles of its Occupational Health and Safety Policy to subcontractors and the supply chain, as stated in the text itself, providing its support and knowledge in preventive and environmental management for those operations derived from its relationship with the company.

Aciturri provides its workforce with the necessary information and training to understand and implement safe and responsible practices, aiming to promote a genuine preventive and environmental culture.
