Social Action

Based on its commitment to society, Aciturri collaborates with solidarity and sports projects, health promotion projects, and projects related to entrepreneurship and training for young people to promote initiatives with a positive impact on the community.

However, the impact of the pandemic since 2020 and the slow recovery of the activity have resulted in implementing adjustment and cost control measures in all areas, including this one. That's why part of the collaboration actions historically held by Aciturri with different organizations to promote physical exercise and healthy habits, cultural activities in local communities, and collaborations to help the sick and people with different abilities have been suspended. Despite this situation, the company still continues its partnership with organizations such as Asociación Hijas de la Caridad de Vera (Children's Home in Almería) and Asociación Síndrome de Down Burgos (association for Down syndrome patients).

In 2023, Aciturri renewed the agreement with the Hijas de la Caridad de San Vicente de Paul de Vera reception center in Almería, whereby we committed to providing financial support to young people placed in the center to advance their academic training. Specifically, the 2023 budget included the financial resources needed to cover the tutoring received by the students who live in the center.

In 2023, employee participation in famous team races held in different locations was revived. Thanks to this initiative, Aciturri promotes healthy habits while at the same time creating a space for the staff to live together outside the workplace.

Thirty-five people participated in the “Companies' Race” in Seville, Madrid and Vitoria throughout the year.

The Brazilian headquarters has signed a collaboration agreement with Fundhas, a social program in the city of São José dos Campos that helps children, adolescents and young people in vulnerable situations or at risk of social exclusion. Under this agreement, young people between 16 and 17 will join the workforce, complying with the existing legal requirements (minimum and maximum quotas, among others).

Also, in the area of social commitment, in 2023, Aciturri signed donation agreements with the Food Bank of Alava, the Centro de Acogida de las Hijas de la Caridad de San Vicente de Paul de Vera (Shelter Center of the Daughters of Charity of San Vicente de Paul in Vera) (Almeria) and the Industrial Technology Institute of Miranda (ITM), entities that received a total donation of 93 computers and 36 monitors.
