Aciturri promotes a good working environment via activities that go beyond those directly linked to the job and professional performance.
Xmas Drawing Contest, "Draw their Christmas"
Every year, Aciturri organizes a drawing competition for employees' children between 0 and 14 (12 years old until this year). The winning drawings are used to design the company's Christmas cards to greet staff, customers, suppliers and institutions. In addition, a donation of 5 euros (a total of 1740 euros) was made to Caritas for each of the participating drawings to help develop projects related to children and adolescents.
Since 2019, the company has extended participation in this contest to the kids at San Agustín de las Hijas de la Caridad (a children's home) in Vera, Almería, a center Aciturri collaborates with through different channels.
A total of 348 children took part in the 2023 edition. All of them and their parents had the opportunity to visit their parent's workplace and attend the event, where the competition prizes were awarded. A gift was given to each participant in appreciation for their drawing.
Children's drawing contest
This event was held at Aciturri's headquarters in Brazil on Children's Day, 11th October, a public holiday in the country.
Thanks to this initiative, employees visit the facilities with their children between 5 and 12 years old, spending a day with activities aimed at the little ones. A total of 52 children participated in this edition, all receiving a commemorative T-shirt as a souvenir of the event.
“Ave Fénix" Project
Aciturri joined the ‘Ave Fénix’ project during the 2023 Christmas season.
At the end of January 2023, the pre-prepared meals company Cascajares suffered a massive fire that completely destroyed its facilities in Dueñas (Palencia). To contribute to the recovery of its activity, the ‘Ave Fénix’ solidarity initiative was developed. In this initiative, Cascajares prepared its truffled poulard product based on a recipe donated by the Spanish chef José Andrés.
Aciturri joined this project by making truffled poulard the Christmas gift for its entire team, thus contributing, with the purchase of 3,000 units of this product, to the recovery of Cascajares and, at the same time, to the reforestation of the Sierra de la Culebra (Zamora), which burned down in the summer of the same year, with the planting of 3,000 trees.
